What a delightful book! This story is the perfect one to read to your child who is getting ready to go to preschool! My five-year-old daughters will soon be attending so I feel fortunate to have such a wonderful story to share with them as they prepare for the next step in their life journey.
"Preschool Day Hooray!" is a hardback book and the pages are a heavy weight so they are not easy to tear. The illustrations are expressive and very colorful to catch they eye of your little one. The first page made me smile because of what it said! “Sticky fingers, drippy fruit, tick-tock clock makes Mommy scoot.” What Mom out there can’t relate to that statement??The girls really enjoy the singsong rhythm and that keeps them even more interested in the book. There are teaching opportunities on each page as one or more aspects of the day are related. I very much like the progression of the story as it portrays the “true” life of a preschooler. It even covers the issue of boo-boos, naps, pets and plants.
I highly recommend this book to any family with children currently attending or preparing to attend Preschool. Even though it is specifically tailored to preschool, it could just as easily be used to ease a child into a day care setting as well.
Hooray for Linda Leopold Strauss!

This looks like a cute book! It is so easy to find books about preparing for kindergarden, it is nice to see ones for preschool too.
